Donna began painting in the first grade and showed talent when her painting was displayed
in the Fort Worth Public Library. She moved to Decatur, TX in the third grade. There were
no art classes and very little time for art living on a dairy farm. After a long hiatus of
attending college, raising a family and teaching at numerous North Central Texas high
schools and community colleges, Donna retired and returned to painting. She currently
takes lessons from Melanie Singleton in Bridgeport, TX. She primarily paints in oils. Her
inspirations come from scenes and people from her childhood, her extensive travels and
her life experiences.
