Janett Smith

Janett Smith has been a member of the WCAA since 1999 and has served as President in 2007-2009.

She began painting at a early age and throughout high school but marriage came along and art was
put aside. In 1993,  she took up her art again and started to take art lessons from James Spurlock of
Stephenville, Texas, and Melanie Singleton of Bridgeport, TX. Her favorite mediums are oil and
pastel. She has won numerous awards for her work at area shows. Janett was born in Greenville, TX
but grew up in Dallas, TX. She moved to Decatur, TX in 1992 and then  married  Andy Smith in 1993
where they owned Marbles Video. They now have Noah's Ark Pet and Supplies at 600 W. Walnut St.
in  Decatur, TX.
