Jo has always had a love of art. She began painting shortly before she retired and found a love of
painting in oils and watercolors. Her favorite subjects are landscapes including desert and sea
scapes. She has taken lessons from Sue Gill, Melanie Singleton and James Spurlock. She has
won numerous awards for her paintings in area contest. She continues to paint for the pure
enjoyment.
Jo was born and raised in Fort Worth, Tx. She and her husband of 29 years, Carroll, moved to
Wise county in the 1980's. She retired early from Bell Helicopter where she worked for 29 years.
She has five children, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
