| Michael (Mike) Bruckner was born in Chicago and moved to Dallas, Texas at age of six. He now lives at Silver Lake Ranch at Sunset, Texas Mike's wife Susan was instrumental in encouraging him to draw and paint a fews year ago. He was also inspired by the discovery that his cousin (3 times removed) is Mary Stevenson Cassatt (1844-1926), the famous impressionist artist. Mike has taken drawing and oil painting lessons from Mavis Wilkins in Wichita Falls, Texas and his wife, Susan. His favorite medium is acrylic. Mike retired in 2002 as Wichita County Treasurer and joined the Wise County Art Association in 2007. |
