Sandy began painting as soon as she could hold a pencil and started taking oil painting
lessons as a girl. She received her Associates of Arts Degree from San Jacinto College in
1975 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from North Texas State University in 1977.  She
works in several mediums including ink, pencil, acrylics, oils and mixed media.  Her favorite
subjects are western scenes, children, animals, flowers and just about anything.  She is
also an accomplished commercial artist, completing several advertising posters for
performances of the Off 380 Players in Bridgeport, TX and the Decatur, TX Rotary Club's
annual Home and Garden Show.

Sandy was born in Deer Park, TX and moved to Wise county 18 years ago.  She lives in
Decatur with her husband of 31 years, Curt.  They have three daughters, Candace,
Courtney and Christy.
