| Susan Bruckner began painting in the 1970's taking workshops from various artists and lessons from Gary Head in Emory, Texas, Shane Tidmore, Polly Cox, and Mavis Wilkins in Wichita Falls, Texas. Most of her paintings are pastel and oil, but she is currently interested in watercolor. Although she has entered in competition only twice, she has won an award at the Burkburnett Texas Art Council Art Show in 1991. Susan's home town is Winnsboro, Texas. She married Michael Bruckner in 1981. They have four children and seven grandchildren. They moved to Silver Lakes Ranch at Sunset, Texas in 2006 from Wichita Falls. Susan is a retired elementary teacher and a member of the Wise County Art Association since the spring 2007. |
