The Wise County Art Association, Inc. was
founded in 1972 with the purpose of
stimulating interest in the fine and applied
arts in the region.

The WCAA promotes educational programs
such as art lectures, workshops, art
demonstrations, annual art shows, displays
and competitions. The Wise County Art
Association, Inc. also offers a scholarship each
May to a Wise County high school senior.

The Wise County Art Association, Inc.'s  
membership is comprised of professional and
non-professional artists including painters,  
sculptures, and photographers. Members'
artwork is on display in several Wise County
banks and in the Wise County Courthouse
throughout the entire year.

The Wise County Art Association, Inc. meets
the second Monday of each month, September
through May, at the Bridgeport Public Library
in Bridgeport, Texas. Each meeting begins at
7:00 p.m. with an art demonstration followed
by a brief business meeting. Refreshments are
served. The meetings are open to the public.

The Wise County Art Association functions as
a non-profit organization.
