Jan began painting in the 1970's when she was inspired in a junior high school art class.
She enjoys painting in oils, pastels, watercolor and colored pencil. Her favorite subjects
are old houses, landscapes and western scenes. She continues to paint to improve her
skills.
Jan was born in Auburn, Washington and grew up in the metroplex. She moved to Wise
county in 1998 with her husband of 30 years, Randy, They have three children, Alanna,
Janna and Wade. She has been a teacher at the Paradise High School for nine years
where currently teaches art.
